Our History

North Shore Bible Church began in April 2000. On Sunday April 2, 2000, a group of about 25 people met to discuss the potential of starting a new church on Cape Ann that was committed to the sufficiency of the Bible.  On Sunday April 9, 2000 that same group began to meet weekly for worship and prayer. God prospered that small group and it was not long before we outgrew our meeting place. The Lord opened up the doors of the Cape Ann Food Pantry where we met for a number of months before moving to our current location at 65 Eastern Ave in Essex MA. We moved to our storefront location in February, 2002 and God has blessed us with many resources to do the work of the ministry.  We are blessed to serve Cape Ann and the surrounding areas and we give God all the glory!

Our Purpose

To proclaim God's Word, so as, to bring people to Jesus and membership in His family, develop them to Christlike maturity, and equip them for their ministry in the church and life mission in the world, in order to magnify God’s name.

 This statement has as its foundation God’s Word:

 Jesus said, “You shall the Love the Lord your God with all your heart...soul...and mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment.  The second is like it; You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 22:37-40

 Jesus said, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."  Matthew 28:19


Our Vision

The vision of North Shore Bible Church is to plant churches on Cape Ann and the north shore of Boston through Grace Brethren New England.  The Purpose of this organization is to enlist, educate, and equip church planters.  Please download our brochure or contact us for more information.
